Today and everyday we stand with our AAPI community members who are in pain after targeted hate crimes in Atlanta earlier this week.
March 19, 2021 – Statement from The Dorm
Earlier this week, targeted hate, and violent attacks in the Atlanta area killed eight people, including six Asian American community members.
As an organization, we condemn all acts of violence, hate, racism and discrimination against the Asian American Pacific Islander (APPI) community. Racism is a public health crisis and the impact of racial trauma on mental health is profound and critical.
To members of the AAPI community who are in pain, we stand with you and are committed to the fight for a world where all people can live with dignity and without fear of violence.
To our Dorm community members, we encourage you to speak with your clinical team about anything you are feeling and how we can support you. Below, please also find a list of organizations working to fight racism and offering dedicated support to the APPI community.
