The Dorm Outcomes
As part of an ongoing 3-year outcome study evaluating our treatment model and
225 young adult clients (ages 18-30) across 5 empirically-valid psychometrics.
Cognitive Impairment
Statistically Significant
48% reduction in symptoms of cognitive impairment related to psychosis
Dorm clients suffering from psychosis saw reduction in symptoms related to perceived cognitive impairments (e.g., forgetting names, trouble remembering to do things).
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Statistically Significant
36% reduction in symptoms of PTSD
Dorm clients suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) saw reduction in symptoms including avoidance, amnesia, detachment, and survival/behavioral guilt.
Depression
Statistically Significant
24% reduction in symptoms of depression
Clients experienced improvements in depression symptoms, progressing from clinically severe at admission to moderate by discharge.
Generalized Anxiety Disorder
Statistically Significant
20% reduction in symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder
Clients experienced a decrease in symptoms of Generalized Anxiety Disorder based on nine diagnostic criteria for major depressive disorder in the DSM-V.
Sense of Rejection
Statistically Significant
18% decrease in sense of rejection
At discharge, The Dorm clients experienced less feelings of “rejection” among peers, friends and social circles.
