Tina Bryant

Tina Bryant holds a Master’s of Social Work in Clinical Behavioral Health from the University of Maryland, Baltimore and a Master’s of Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. At Johns Hopkins, she earned certificates in Public Mental Health Research and Global Health. She interned at the nonprofit HIPS, serving DC’s low income populations, primarily the LGBTQ community, as well as at the VA Medical Center, aiding in homelessness prevention and outreach for US Veterans. While studying public health, Tina concentrated on community mental health prevention, care and awareness, focusing on suicide as a topic of research and interest.

Tina became passionate about social work while working for Family Services Inc. in Montgomery County, MD, assisting adults with severe mental illness reach recovery and achieve social, physical and emotional functioning and wellness. Her past experience also includes working for The Peace Corps in Sénégal, West Africa from 2013 to 2015, where she designed and facilitated community health projects including malaria and malnutrition prevention, wider vaccination dissemination, introduction of health education for adolescents and gender equality in high school and higher education.

In her work with clients Tina helps young adults explore personal goals and interests and attain and maintain holistic wellness. She draws from her extensive experience in motivational interviewing, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), crisis intervention, solution-focused therapy and trauma-informed care.

In her free time, Tina is a traveler, a reader, a runner, a yogi, a hiker and a loving mother to two adorable kitties, Felix and Tallulah, and a pup she brought across the pond from Sénégal named Tigo.
