Renata Wilson

Renata Wilson is an experienced therapist who specializes in supporting young adults as they navigate major life transitions, identity development, and eating disorder recovery. She earned her Master of Education in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University, with training in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling. As a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), Renata is also passionate about incorporating mindfulness, nervous system regulation, and body awareness into her therapeutic work.
Before joining The Dorm, Renata worked as a primary therapist in residential eating disorder treatment for young adults, providing individual, group, family, and meal support therapy. She has also supported adolescents and young adults in educational settings, including through her work as a special education teacher and school counselor.
Renata takes a collaborative, trauma-informed, and person-centered approach to therapy, with a focus on creating a space where clients feel understood and empowered to build lives aligned with their values. She draws from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness, tailoring treatment to each client’s unique goals and experiences.
Outside of work, Renata enjoys practicing yoga, going to the movies, and exploring new restaurants and coffee shops. She finds joy in spending time in the mountains and has a special soft spot for miniature dachshunds
