Rami Teeter

Rami Teeter is dedicated to helping others grow toward the person they want to be while fostering self acceptance and self compassion. He strives to offer a non-judgemental, listening ear and to support and collaborate with his clients in addressing the challenges that have brought them into his office. In his work as a therapist, Rami integrates the insights of evidence based practices such as Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) with a personal approach that is warm, caring, and anchored in the client-therapist relationship. In combining gold standard therapeutic techniques with an empathic and kind relational style, Rami hopes to provide care that is effective, healing, and fulfilling for those he works with.

Rami is passionate about working with young adults, and has spent much of his career in service to this unique population. He has worked for a crisis hotline for LGBTQ+ youth and young people, as a housing counselor in supportive housing programs, and in a variety of private practice therapy settings. Rami has particular expertise working with people struggling with anxiety disorders, OCD, depression, suicidal ideation, and emotional dysregulation, as well as those on the autism spectrum. He has a great amount of experience working within the LGBTQ+ community, and also brings with him his personal experience as a member of the Jewish community.

Outside of therapy, Rami enjoys reading long books (as well as short books, but really the longer the better!), hiking, playing drums and guitar, and learning to cook one new food every year (this year it’s baguettes).
