Flo Cabre-Andrews
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Flo Cabre-Andrews, affectionately called Flo, believes young people can benefit tremendously from yoga by cultivating strength, flexibility, and focus on the physical, emotional and mental level. Flo has taught in many settings including yoga studios, clinicians’ offices, specialized high schools, inner-city schools, and special education settings. To continue mastering her practice, Flo studies remotely weekly with Abhijata Iyengar and Prashant Iyengar, two experienced yoga practitioners, located in Pune (India).
Before teaching yoga, Flo focused on theatre, studying drama at the “Theatre Atelier Paris Sud” (TAPS) with Sarah Sanders. She then performed in New York City and internationally with Viveca Lindfors in venues such as the Actors Studio, Ubu Rep Theater and Tribeca Lab.
Two decades ago, Flo began to focus on the studies of yoga. She first became an experienced 500hr yoga teacher and then furthered her education with the teachings of B.K.S Iyengar. She graduated from the Teacher Training Program at the Iyengar Institute of New York, and soon after became a certified Iyengar Teacher. Today, Flo is grateful for the opportunity to teach yoga at The Dorm serving young adults in treatment.
