Edward J. Maletic

Ed Maletic is a licensed clinical social worker who prioritizes meeting clients wherever they may find themselves on their mental health journey. By utilizing an approach heavily rooted in Motivational Interviewing, he emphasizes building trust and rapport while tailoring treatment to meet an individual’s needs through a combination of Cognitive Behavioral and Solution-Focused Therapy. He is certified in Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) and recognizes the pervasive impact that stress and trauma can have on overall well-being.

Ed received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and his Master’s of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. He has an extensive history working with adolescents and young adults in a variety of settings, having started his career working within the juvenile justice system. It was during this time that a passion for social justice and equity was forged that has served as a guiding force throughout his professional development. He held a leadership position within an organization supporting adults who previously experienced homelessness, many of whom struggled with severe mental illness. Finally, he has provided individual, group, and family counseling in both private practice and community mental health settings.

In his free time, Ed enjoys reading and spending most of his time outdoors. Some of his favorite activities include biking around the city, surfing, and skateboarding, and he tries to set aside time for travel as often as he can.
