Allie Neuman

Allie Neuman is a clinical coach and therapist providing group and family therapy, as well as executive functioning and life skills coaching. With a trauma-informed and strengths-based foundation, Allie’s approach to treatment is relational, collaborative, and creative. She aims to empower clients to feel confident in who they are, how they take up space in the world, and cope with distress. 

Allie brings with her experience working in outpatient private practice and inpatient psychiatric settings with people of all identities and backgrounds. In addition, she has experience leading dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills groups for adolescents, adults, and parents. Allie’s warmth, compassion, authenticity, and humor allow her to connect with others in times of great difficulty.

Allie treats a variety of concerns ranging from anxiety, depression, disordered eating, body image, relational issues, identity exploration, low self-esteem, executive dysfunction, and trauma. Due to her prioritization of cultural humility and a person-centered approach to therapy, Allie enjoys individualizing treatment based on the different needs of her clients. She often pulls from various therapeutic modalities, including psychodynamic theory, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), among others. 

Allie earned her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School in Washington, DC and her B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Penn State University. She is a New Jersey native and is actively taking recommendations for the best bagels, pizza, and delis in the city!
