Dr. Amanda Fialk Spoke With The New York Times About Social Distancing

As physical social distancing helps protect ourselves and our communities at large, social isolation is not the answer. As many people across the nation face increased levels of stress, fear and anxiety, combating these feelings is imperative.

“Changing Lives: We Are (Still) in This Together.”

“It’s really important for us as mental health providers to get creative and think outside the box…doing that face-to-face individual session, or face-to-face group session, isn’t responsible or safe right now…We [have] added in a lot of creative and fun programming for home, because we’re trying to let them know that social distancing doesn’t have to mean social isolation.”
