Chris Davis is a licensed professional counselor in Virginia and the District of Columbia. A lifelong resident of Northern Virginia, he graduated with a B.A. from Virginia Tech and earned a Master’s Degree in Education with a specialization in Counselor Education from George Mason University. He also holds an Education Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from George Washington University.
Chris spent 11 years working as a counselor at a mental health crisis stabilization facility in Fairfax County, Virginia prior to joining the staff at George Washington University’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) in 2012. He provided services to students at CAPS for eight years, serving as the Assistant Director for Clinical Services from 2016.
A generalist with an affinity for humanistic, CBT, and solution-focused brief therapy interventions, Chris believes that a quality therapeutic relationship creates the most growth and strives to create a warm, understanding, and non-judgmental environment for clients.
