Amie earned her Master’s in Social Work and her Master’s in Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh. As a Clinical Social Work Cannon Fellow, she focused her direct practice skills in integrated healthcare models, working specifically with adolescents and young adults. Her degree in public health focused on program development, implementation, and evaluation, especially within the scope of sexual health. Amie earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh. She spent several years focused on studying upper-level processes in the brain using neuro-electrophysiological models before attending graduate school.
A wellness advocate, Amie integrates her many passions into clinical practice. Also a passionate yogi, Amie holds an E-RYT 500 certification with Yoga Alliance. She developed a 200hour Yoga Alliance certified teacher training program and currently co-leads the program at Epic Yoga DC.
Influenced mightily by her science background, Amie utilizes evidence-based models in clinical practice, and ties together her background in holistic health to further explore the link between physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social wellbeing.
Amie is creative and lighthearted. She strives to create an open, inclusive space where she can help others expand and develop strategies for improving their overall wellbeing. In her spare time, you can find her enjoying the outdoors, trying new foods, and traveling.
