RDN, LD & Intuitive Eating Counselor Senior Dietitian & Health and Wellness Supervisor
Alison (“Ali”) Malik brings extensive experience in both nutrition and movement to The Dorm. She received her Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University’s Medical Dietetics program, and completed her internship through The College of Medicine’s competitive undergraduate coordinated program. In addition to being a Registered Dietitian, Ali is a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and fitness instructor- certified in Barre, TRX, and BOSU.
Ali’s past experience as a registered dietitian includes working with individuals in both inpatient and outpatient settings, who are working to recover from a variety of medical conditions and disordered eating patterns. She has also served as a clinical dietitian for patients recovering from COVID-19. Today, she is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. As a fitness professional, Ali has been teaching group fitness for over a decade and has a background as an elite dancer.
Ali’s nutrition philosophy is to “honor your body.” Ali follows an intuitive eating approach and champions body neutrality. She believes nutrition and movement is an important component of our physical, mental, and emotional health. Her mission is to equip and empower individuals through education and cultivating body attunement. Through gradual change, individuals begin to gain trust and confidence in themselves, which is Ali’s ultimate goal for every client she works with.
Volunteering and giving back are pillars in Ali’s life. Today, she primarily volunteers and fundraises for Operation Impact. In her free time, Ali can be found dancing, cheering on the buckeyes, and exploring the New York City food scene.
