Adrienne Frumberg

Adrienne Frumberg is a passionate educator and counselor with 13 years of experience in the field of college counseling with expertise in working with students/young adults who have taken atypical paths to complete their education. She specializes in navigating the on-campus supports for students with mental health issues, LDs, and special learning needs and has toured more than 100 colleges and universities in the United States and abroad over her years working in the industry.

In addition to founding Lighthouse Guidance, a full-service college counseling company, Adrienne has dedicated years working privately as a college counselor to assist students and families with the college process, as well as to support students with the transition from secondary school to college and work life. She has worked as a college guidance counselor at independent schools including Loyola School, Aaron School, and Fordham Preparatory School. She currently works as a college guidance consultant at Academics West, the Lang School, and also works with students from China who are applying to US universities.

When she is not working in college guidance, Adrienne focuses her energy on Teenz In The City, a social skills program for adolescents and young adults with a history of social challenges or learning differences. She has an M.A. in counseling from NYU, a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from Lafayette College, and completed the Harvard Summer Institute on College Admissions. When she’s not working, you can find her spending time with her husband and two young sons.
